Depending on the territory where you are located, a specific ABI entity will act as data controller and this Privacy and cookies notice shall be subjected to and interpreted as per the local regulations applicable in the territory where you are. 

 

Under the GDPR, ANHEUSER-BUSCH INBEV SA/NV a company organized and existing under the laws of Belgium, having its registered office at Grote Markt 1, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, registered under company number VAT 0417.497.106 RPM Brussels, will be the Controller entity. 

If you are in a different territory, please, you may check which entity will act as a Controller in the Annex 1. 

Any reference to ABI shall be read as a reference to the specific ABI entity as stated above. 

 

In this Privacy and Cookies Notice, "personal data" means any information that (either in isolation or in combination with other information held by us) enables you to be identified as an individual or recognized directly or indirectly.

  1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?  

Depending on the purpose of the processing, we may need to process the following categories of personal data about you: 

  • Contact information: your personal details such as name, street address, email address, online identifier (ID), username, cell phone number, date of birth and other information we may ask in connection with promotional offers, marketing activities or activities connected to purchases and product claims. 

  • Information you submit or post in a public space in this website or your social media account when you choose to link it to this website (posts, photos, followers, social media handle). 

  • Connection and/or browsing data that we collect by using cookies and similar tracking technologies as described under Section 8, such as device information, IP address, usage and location data. For more information see the cookies section.  

  • Financial information: We don’t collect your financial information. If you are making a purchase on this Website/App, you will be redirected to our trusted payment processing portal hosted by a third-party payment company. Your financial information will be processed by this third-party, so please read their privacy policy to have more information regarding the use, storage, and protection of your data. 

  • Additional information from other sources: Information we receive from other sources, such as partners we jointly offer services with or from advertisers, about your interactions with them. We rely on the lawful basis for processing (which could be the consent you give to third parties) prior to us receiving that information for processing.   1. FOR WHICH PURPOSES DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION AND ON WHICH LEGAL BASIS?  

 

Depending on the actions that you wish to perform on the Platform and subject to applicable laws, we will process your personal data for the following purposes, as justified on the following legal bases:

Your personal data will be processed:  

- based on your consent (following the selection of your cookie preferences in our cookie banner – see Section 8 below) and signing up for email newsletters from one of our brands); 

- because the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests consisting in improving the user experience and our products and services in the best interest of the consumer, when allowed by relevant privacy legislation; or 

- as required or allowed by applicable law 

To enable Ab InBev and other relevant service providers to fulfil its legal obligations and protect its organisational rights. We may use your information as necessary in connection with corporate transactions or to protect, enforce, or defend the legal rights, privacy, safety, or property of the services’ providers, our employees or agents, or other users and to comply with applicable law. 

Your personal data will be processed because the processing is necessary:  

  • to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, to guarantee the security of the personal data we process or to respond to authorities’ requests for disclosure of personal data, as required by applicable law, or to guarantee that you are of legal age to use our products and services); or  

  • for the purposes of our legitimate interests consisting in safeguarding our rights and our property and those of our employees, agents or users or in performing corporate transactions. 

Notify you of special offers and other services that we believe may be of interest to you or to send you current mailings to provide you with advertisements, newsletters, emails and push notifications about goods and services that may be of interest to you. 

Your personal data will be processed based on your consent. 

 In order to provide ads that are tailored to your interests, and following your consent, we will pair up with other business partners as social media platforms and online advertisers to helps us better understand your preferences. For this purpose, and following your consent on other sites, our business partner will share with us data about you.  This information will enrich the data we have about you and will allow us to provide personalized advertisement.  

Your personal data will be processed based on your consent. 

 

We will only process your personal data for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and we will not process your personal data further in a way that goes beyond or is incompatible with those purposes.  

Where required under applicable law, we will also collect your express consent to any of the above-mentioned activities. You have the right to withdraw any given consent at any time (see Section 5).    

  1. HOW DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?  

For the purposes for which we collect your personal data and subject to the appropriate legal basis described under Section 2 above, we may disclose your personal data to the following categories of recipients: 

  1. Authorised staff members of ABI who access your personal data on a need-to-know basis. 

  1. Business partners, affiliates and subsidiary companies of ABI, primarily for business and operational purposes. 

  1. Service providers: companies that provide Services on behalf of ABI and under our instructions, that provide services to us, for the purposes of providing this website or our Services.  Such parties are bound to provide reasonable security for personal data and to use and process such personal data on our behalf only. 

  1. ABI may share your personal data with other third parties:  

  • to comply with the law, regulatory requests, court orders, subpoena, or legal processes.  

  • to verify or enforce compliance with ABI’s policies and agreements; and 

  • to protect the rights, property or safety of ABI, its customers, visitors to this Website/App and/or the public.

  1. HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR? 

For personal data that we collect and process for the purposes outlined in Section 2, we will typically retain such personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil each of these purposes. We will actively review the personal data we hold and delete it securely, or in some cases anonymise it, when there is no longer a legal, business or consumer need for it to be retained.

At our discretion we may require you to prove your identity before providing the requested information.  If you require multiple copies of your personal data, we may charge a reasonable administration fee.

Your personal details will be saved only so that we can respond to your request, and will be deleted when they are no longer necessary for the original purpose, unless there are legal requirements stipulating the retention of these data.

  1. Look a Like Audiences 

We use different technologies to create look alike audiences on social media. We may share hashed portions of your personal data (mainly your name and other online identifiers, email address) with our marketing partners and publishers to provide you advertisement in accordance with your interests and/or those of like-minded consumers. For example, we may aggregate your email address together with the email addresses of others who registered to our marketing activities, locally hash such data, and transmit the resulting hashed data to Facebook or to other marketing partners for the purpose of creating "Lookalike Audiences" (where targeted ads are sent to people on Facebook who have similar characteristics to people on our customer list). A Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that consists of a code that is installed on our website. We adopt technical and organisational measures to protect your data as comprehensively as possible. In addition to the commitment of our employees to secrecy and a careful selection and monitoring of our service providers, we also secure our operating environment adequately. To protect your data against unwanted access, we use data encryption. Data collected from this website will be passed between your computer and our server and vice versa via the internet using data encryption in transit technology. If the connection is encrypted the 'lock' symbol on your browser status list will show as locked, and the address line will start with "https://". To have your data secured in transit, we use at least the TLS 1.2 standard (Transport Layer Encryption standard).

Apart from the content related to non-alcoholic beverage brands, we do only share the content of our Website/App with those who are of legal drinking age. Our Website/App and Services are not intended for individuals under the legal drinking age and take reasonable measure to block access to minors (e.g. age gate). If we learn that an individual under the legal drinking age has provided us with personal information, we will delete it.
